What we're going to talk about today is what happens if you're injured in a car accident and then you realize afterwards your own insurance has lapsed. Well, the good news is the other party who caused the accident is the party who's responsible for your injuries and it's their insurance that you make the claim against. Don't let anyone convince you that because your insurance laps that you're not entitled to a remedy for or the injuries that you're suffering because of someone else's carelessness. The type of insurances you want to look for are for your own policy. You'd like to have personal injury protection or underinsured motorists and those are really important to keep in effect while your policy is in effect. However, if it lapses, don't let anyone convince you. Like I said, don't let anyone convince you that you're not entitled to a remedy from the person who caused your injuries.
