Monday Morning Legal Minute: 3/25/24

[00:00:01] Hey, this is Ziad Youssef with Bellingham injury law. And today's Monday morning legal minute is dedicated to the facts. Because most judges will tell you if you can't prove it, then it isn't a fact as far as the law is concerned. So what I recommend is if you've been injured in a serious auto accident, start documenting the facts. Take pictures of the accident, get names of witnesses, get in and talk to your doctor about what injuries you might be suffering. Make sure you have a detailed record of what you're going through. Because if you end up in court and you can't prove it, it isn't a fact. For example, just the other day I had a client who was involved in a pretty serious accident. Got a copy of the accident report, but everybody involved in the accident, except for my client, started changing their story. We had to go back, interview the witnesses and make sure whose facts were the strongest so that we could preserve the rights and claims our client had for the injuries they were suffering.
