Today, what we're going to talk about is what happens if the person who caused your injuries did it after suffering a medical emergency. In Washington, there's a law that says people who cause an accident after suffering a medical emergency may not be liable for the accident. And it's important to understand in those cases that the person who caused the accident still has to prove it was a medical emergency. The burden is on them, not on the injured person, to prove that it was a medical emergency.
